Who Can Compete

  • Any university student, anywhere in the world full-time undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate
  • Diverse teams of exactly 5 students representing at least 3 disciplines and 2 institutions
  • Free to apply and participate no entry fees, no barriers, and IP stays with the team

How It Works

Wege Prize teams are challenged to collaboratively propose and develop a product, service, or business/organization that solves a problem while making circular design its differentiator.

  • Phase 1 / Apply August 3 – October 4 90 teams accepted
  • Phase 2 / Incubate October – December 30 teams advance
  • Phase 3 / Validate January – February 15 semifinalists
  • Phase 4 / Present March – May 5 finalists
